Chelsea prepared to sell N'Golo Kante this summer
Chelsea could be prepared to sanction the sale of midfielder N'Golo Kante this summer as they seek to fund more signings during the summer transfer window.
The Blues have already landed the services of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for a combined fee of £83m and they are likely to make more purchases.
According to The Times, Blues boss Frank Lampard has been told that he would need to sanction the sale of few first-team stars such that he can pursue all of his summer targets.
The same publication cites that Kante could be on the high-profile players heading through the exit door when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.
Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell and Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz are presently among the names on Lampard's shortlist and the Blues are said to have opened negotiations to sign the former.
Meanwhile, Kante has been the subject of interest from both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in the past and there could be a bidding battle to land his signature this summer.
Aside from Kante, Emerson, Baba Rahman, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Michy Batshuayi could be offloaded this summer. Pedro and Willian are expected to leave on free transfers.
