Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has identified Memphis Depay as a potential replacement for either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

The Netherlands international endured a difficult spell with Manchester United in the Premier League few years ago, but he has since revived his career at Lyon.

The Dutchman has bagged 53 goals and 43 assists for Les Gones over the past three years and during this period, he has also become one of the leading performers for his national side.

According to Le 10 Sport, the 26-year-old has been earmarked by Arteta as a potential addition to the attack. Aubameyang's existing deal with the club expires in June 2021 and this has led to the speculation that he could be sold.

Meanwhile, Lacazette has two years remaining on his contract, but his average scoring form over the past 12 months has seen him linked with a possible exit this summer.

The north London giants appear more likely to lose Aubameyang than Lacazette this summer. Depay could prove an ideal fit with his ability to play upfront or in the wide attacking roles, similar to Aubameyang.
