West Ham United keen on signing Chelsea midfield star
West Ham United are prepared to revive their interest in Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley after missing out on his signature at the beginning of the year.
The Hammers were keen on signing the midfielder on a temporary basis in January with the option to buy, but the Blues were reluctant to do business at the midway stage of the season.
Barkley has since impressed under Frank Lampard in a couple of matches, but there are still doubts over his consistency over an extended period of time.
According to The Mirror, manager David Moyes is keen on a reunion with his former Everton player and he is hoping that the assurance of regular gametime can lure him to the London Stadium.
Barkley has made 24 appearances for the west London giants over the course of the campaign, but only 15 of those have been from the starting lineup.
He has also been linked with a possible return to the Toffees and there could be a bidding battle on the hands to secure his services. The 26-year-old has bagged four goals and four assists this term.
