Arsenal set to make move for Spanish midfielder
Arsenal are set to step up their interest in signing Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca following the Spanish club's relegation from La Liga.
The midfielder has been on the Gunners' radar since the turn of the year and talks were held between the sides before the coronavirus shutdown.
According to Football.London, the north London giants are prepared to step up their pursuit of the midfielder, who is also on the radar of Napoli and Sevilla.
Earlier this year, Espanyol were holding out for Roca's £35.8m release clause, but it is claimed that he could be available for a lesser fee after the club's relegation to the Segunda Division.
Roca, who is a left-footed central midfielder, has made 41 appearances for Espanyol across all competitions this term, registering two goals and three assists.
Aside from the Spaniard, the Gunners have also been heavily linked with a move for Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey. They have yet to activate the £45m buy-out clause in the Ghanaian's contract.
