Porto midfielder open to Arsenal transfer
Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira has opened the door to joining Arsenal during this summer's transfer window.
The Portugal international has been a long-term target for the north London side and he was fancied to join them in 2018 before his long injury lay-off.
Pereira has another 23 months remaining on his contract with Porto but it has been reported that the club could sanction his sale for around £50m.
So far, the Gunners have not made any move for his services, but Pereira believes he would seamlessly fit into the plans of Mikel Arteta.
"The style I think I can fit there, the way he plays also thinking on the ball, the team always has to be together – I think it is a good way to play," He told.
"Of course I like to be here in Porto, to be here in my country, but I want to be in a better league like the Premier League. I always dreamed about playing in that league."
Arsenal are expected to recruit at least one central midfielder this summer and they have been regularly linked with Atletico's Thomas Partey.
The Ghana international has yet to decide on his future. Atletico are hoping to keep hold of him by negotiating a fresh and improved contract.
