Liverpool enquire about £12m rated Greek left back
According to Daily Mail, Liverpool have asked about Olympiakos left-back Kostas Tsimikas. Fellow Premier League side Leicester City have also expressed interest in the left-back.
The Reds are in the market for a left-back to add cover for Andy Robertson. Currently, they don't really have a proper cover for the Scot. James Milner has often played in that position when Robertson is not available.
Jurgen Klopp's side previously had a £10 million bid rejected for Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis. Thus they view Tsimikas as an alternative to the Englishman.
The Greek international was in action against Wolves in the Europa and the same report also states that Chelsea and Everton have also expressed interest in him.
Meanwhile, Leicester City view him as a replacement for Ben Chilwell, who could potentially leave the Foxes in the near future. Chelsea and Manchester City have expressed interest in the Englishman.
Olympiakos are ready to let the Greek international leave for just £12m and they have identified Miguel Trauco as a replacement for him. The latter plays in Ligue 1 for St. Etienne.
Liverpool are in need of another left-back to cover for Robertson as they can't always rely on an ageing James Milner. Also due to the current financial crisis the deal looks to be a smart one.
