Arsenal prepared to sell Calum Chambers?
Arsenal are prepared to sanction the sale of Calum Chambers this summer amid interest from the likes of Fulham and Newcastle United.
The England international is currently recovering from a long-term knee injury, but he is likely to make his comeback in the coming months.
Chambers was one of the Gunners' top performing defenders prior to the setback, but The Mirror reports that he is not in the plans of Mikel Arteta.
Both Fulham and Newcastle have been credited with an interest, but the latter are said to be leading the race to sign him.
Still, they are unwilling to meet the Gunners' £12m price tag and would prefer to sign him on loan with the option for a permanent deal.
The Magpies were eager to sign Rob Holding on loan earlier last month, but Mikel Arteta pulled the plug on the deal.
The Gunners boss was impressed with the centre-back's progress. Holding has started both league games for the club this term.
