Chelsea defender considering summer exit
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is considering a fresh challenge away from the club after falling out-of-favour under manager Frank Lampard.
The German has struggled for consistency since his recovery from a knee injury last year and he has not played a single minute for the Blues this term.
Rudiger was an unused substitute for the Blues' 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend while he was left out of the matchday squad altogether against Liverpool.
According to Sky Sports News, the centre-back is now assessing his options, given he needs regular playing time this term in order to represent his country at Euro 2020.
Rudiger is currently the fourth-choice centre-back behind Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori and he should drop further down the pecking order with the arrival of Thiago Silva.
Silva has not made his debut for the Blues due to limited training sessions, but he could make his bow during the midweek League Cup third round tie against Barnsley.
