Chelsea ready to loan out defender to Spurs on one condition
Chelsea are prepared to permit Antonio Rudiger to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan, only if he is willing to extend his contract for another year.
The centre-back has fallen out-of-favour this term and he has yet to make a competitive appearance for the west London giants.
Hence, he has been tipped to pursue a fresh challenge and Standard Sport claims that he could make the move across London.
The German is attracting interest from Spurs and reports claim that the Blues could be prepared to sanction his departure on a temporary deal.
However, they still want to preserve his transfer value and won't allow his loan exit, unless he is willing to sign a one-year contract extension.
Rudiger currently has just 20 months remaining on his contract and the Blues want to avoid him entering the final year of his deal next summer.
Chelsea are well equipped with centre-back options. The likes of Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma are favoured ahead of Rudiger.
