Real Madrid board unhappy with Zinedine Zidane over James Rodriguez
Real Madrid's hierarchy are reportedly unhappy with manager Zinedine Zidane after watching the success of James Rodriguez at Everton.
Rodriguez struggled to become a regular under Zidane and he made only 14 appearances across all competitions last term.
With under a year left on his contract, Rodriguez made the surprise move to Everton on a free transfer and he has proved a huge hit for them.
Rodriguez has been one of their leading performers and he has already bagged three goals and four assists from six games for the Toffees.
According to AS, Los Blancos' hierarchy have expressed disappointment over Zidane's handling of Rodriguez, who has revived his career in Merseyside.
Meanwhile, a section on the board feel Zidane should have considered Gareth Bale, Dani Ceballos and Sergio Reguilon in his first-team plans.
Bale and Ceballos joined Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal respectively on loan this summer. Reguilon, meanwhile, sealed a permanent move to Spurs.
Reguilon could be purchased back by Los Blancos for £40m next summer.
