Manchester United make contact with Jorge Mendes over Cristiano Ronaldo?
Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo by making contact with his representative.
The Portugal international has 20 months remaining on his contract with Juventus, but there has been speculation that he could leave the club next summer.
It has been widely reported that Paris Saint-Germain may attempt to sign him in eight months' time, but United are also said to be looking at the prospect of re-signing their former star.
According to Record, the Red Devils have recently made contact with super-agent Jorge Mendes and they have enquired over the possibility of landing the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
It is added that the 35-year-old is currently focused on his campaign with the Italian champions and may not come to any conclusion over his future until the end of the season.
United may require at least £100m to pursue Ronaldo and that could witness the departure of midfielder Paul Pogba or their pursuit of Jadon Sancho being shelved.
