Chelsea to sell trio to sign Declan Rice?
Chelsea could part ways with three first-team stars in order to sign West Ham United's Declan Rice during the winter transfer window.
The midfielder was one of the top targets for manager Frank Lampard during the summer, but the Blues were put off by the £60m asking price.
After a £220m spending spree, the Blues need to recoup funds before signing another player and Football Insider claims that Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso could head for the exit door.
Alonso has fallen down the pecking order for the left-back role after the signing of Ben Chillwell and the same has been the central defence for Antonio Rudiger with Thiago Silva's arrival.
Jorginho has, however, been a regular starter in the centre of the park, but he has received a fair amount of criticism from the fans for his inconsistent performances over the past year.
The sale of the trio should help the Blues recoup the £60m fee to prise away Rice from the Hammers. However, it is unclear whether David Moyes' side will consider a mid-season sale.
