Arsenal to swoop for Sheffield United midfielder?

Sander Berge news

Berge on Arsenal radar

Arsenal are reportedly considering a future move for Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge.

The Norwegian joined the Blades from Genk last summer and he has since been one of their most influential midfield players.

Despite his consistency, the club have endured a tough start to the current season and they are presently bottom with just one point.

According to Norwegian outlet VG, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen on bolstering the midfield and Berge has emerged as a potential option.

The Blades are unlikely to consider a mid-season sale, but the player may himself push for an exit next summer, suppose they are relegated.

Chris Wilder's side have bagged the solitary point after nine games into the season and they are currently four points adrift of safety.

They are currently on a dreadful run of four straight defeats, but have a good chance of picking up their maiden win this weekend.

Sheffield will come up against struggling West Brom, who are just ahead of them on the table. The Baggies have registered three points this term.
