Arsenal receive Gabriel Martinelli injury boost
Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has assured fans that he is fit ahead of the upcoming Premier League clash against Chelsea.
The Brazilian started his first game in nine months during the League Cup quarter-final against Manchester City and he provided a lovely cross for Alexandre Lacazette's equaliser which made it 1-1.
Soon after, he suffered a potential knee injury after a challenge from goalkeeper Zack Steffen and that contributed to his early substitution in the second half.
The Gunners eventually suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat which saw them eliminated from the competition, but there have received positive news on Martinelli, who has avoided another setback.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta recently assured that Martinelli only took a minor knock to his knee and the teenager has confirmed the same via Instagram, where he wrote: "Feeling fine and ready to go again."
Martinelli could be in line for his first Premier League start of the season when the Gunners entertain Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day.
