West Ham United join the race for Serie A playmaker
West Ham United have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan this month.
The Dane is free to leave the Nerazzurri during the current transfer window after failing to make his mark following his move from Tottenham Hotspur 12 months ago.
The likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal have been credited with an interest and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Hammers are also in the hunt for the playmaker.
Eriksen has managed only four goals and three assists in 38 appearances for Inter and the club's hierarchy have recently placed him on the transfer market as he is out-of-favour under Antonio Conte.
A return to the English top-flight could ideally suit him, given he contributed 51 goals and 66 assists in his 226 Premier League appearances for Spurs between 2013 and 2020.
Meanwhile, he has also been linked with a move to the French Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain, who are now under the management of ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
