Tottenham plan move for Eder Militao

Tottenham have been linked with a surprise January transfer window move for Brazil international Eder Militao in a deal that could be worth 45 million euros. The 22-year-old centre-back, who arrived at Real Madrid from Porto in 2019, has struggled to force his way in to Real's first-team on a regular basis.

Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Militao and instructed his club's transfer team to pursue the defender this January on a loan deal, if a permanent transfer can not be agreed.

Militao, who has 8 caps to his name, arrived at Real Madrid for 50 million euros but has appeared just three times in La Liga this season. Last year, Real manager Zinedine Zidane selected Eder Militao just 15 times for the first-team.

Tottenham are reportedly ready to sell Jackson Martinez in the summer and Eder Militao could be set to come in as a replacement for the Colombian defender. Martinez has been associated with a transfer to both AC Milan or Atletico Madrid, and is still considered a first-team regular at White Hart Lane.
