Chelsea face battle to keep hold of experienced star
Chelsea are reportedly facing a battle to keep hold of Olivier Giroud amid the transfer interest from Juventus.
The Frenchman has been in and out of the starting line-up this term, but he has still impressed with nine goals in all competitions.
His current deal expires at the end of the campaign and so far, the hierarchy have yet to open talks over a possible renewal.
Bianconeri boss Andrea Pirlo recently opened the prospect of Giroud joining the club and they could approach to sign him on a pre-contract.
Giroud has previously stated that he is clearly happy at the west London side and would be willing to prolong his stay.
However, he would want the assurance of regular starts which has not been the case under Frank Lampard this term.
Giroud will be hoping to make the starting XI for the Blues when they face Leicester City on the road in the Premier League tomorrow.
