West Ham United close to signing Manchester United attacker?
West Ham United are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Manchester United over a permanent move for Jesse Lingard.
Lingard has fallen down the pecking order at United and he has managed only 179 minutes of playing time this season.
Owing to this, he has been linked with a possible exit and it appears that the Hammers are leading the race to sign him.
Sheffield United and Newcastle United have made loan bids for the player, but the Hammers are looking to beat them with a permanent offer.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reluctantly accepted to offload Lingard, but the hierarchy have yet to give the green light.
With just 17 months remaining on his United deal, it is claimed that a fee of around £10m could be sufficient for the move to go through.
Lingard has fallen completely out-of-favour with England and he is eager to redeem himself by playing more regularly at a new club.
