Predicted Manchester United lineup vs Newcastle United

Manchester United will welcome Newcastle United to Old Trafford for this evening's Premier League clash.

The Red Devils are winless in the past two games in the top-flight and will be hoping to end the run against the Magpies.

They recently won 4-0 against Real Sociedad in the Europa League round of 32 first leg and should go into today's game with momentum on their side.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

David de Gea has been the constant pick in goal for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the league. He is expected to retain his spot from Dean Henderson, who has featured in the Cup competitions.

In the defence, there could be a few changes. Luke Shaw has been the preferred choice at left-back for the league games and should start ahead of Alex Telles.

Victor Lindelof is likewise expected to return to the starting XI. Eric Bailly returned after his injury absence in midweek but he should make way for the Swede to partner Harry Maguire in the central defence.

Scott McTominay and Fred have been the regular midfield choices for Solskjaer in the absence of Paul Pogba due to a thigh injury. McTominay is an injury doubt and that may see Nemanja Matic earn his first start in five league games.

Further forward, there could be a solitary change with Anthony Martial returning to the starting line-up. The Frenchman may lead the line with Edinson Cavani doubtful with a calf problem.

Behind him, Bruno Fernandes is a certainty in the number 10 position. Marcus Rashford and Daniel James are likely to feature on the left and right wing respectively after impressive midweek displays.

Predicted Manchester United Line-up: David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Fred; Daniel James, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.
