Arsenal, Liverpool interested in 20-goal French striker

Arsenal and Liverpool could go head-to-head in the race to sign Odsonne Edouard from Celtic this summer.

The 23-year-old has had another good season with the Hoops, registering 20 goals and five assists from 34 appearances.

Edouard's current deal expires in 15 months' time and The Transfer Window Podcast claims he could be sold in the next transfer window.

The Gunners are long-term admirers of the French striker, but they are set to face competition from Jurgen Klopp's side.

The Premier League champions are bracing for the departure of Divock Origi and they want a solid back-up option in their ranks.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are eyeing a new striker with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah potentially heading for the exit door.

The duo have their contracts expiring in June next year and so far, the club have yet to open negotiations over possible extensions.

It was previously claimed that Edouard could be sold for around £15m, but the Hoops are likely to hold out for £20m amid the competition.

Leicester City are also in the running to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain graduate.
