Chelsea keeping tabs on Serie A midfielder
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella during this summer's transfer window.
Barella joined the Nerazzurri from Cagliari in 2019, and he has since made 80 appearances while registering seven goals and 18 assists.
His form has caught the eye of several high-profile clubs including Bayern Munich, and ESPN claims that Chelsea are also keeping tabs.
However, Inter have no desire to part ways with the Italian, and they are already working on a new deal for the 24-year-old with a pay rise.
Inter are cruising at the top of the Serie A with a 11-point advantage over AC Milan. They are set to win their first Scudetto since 2010.
Barella has three more years left on his contract, and it could be hard to prise him away from the Nerazzurri unless a significant bid is made.
Inter currently have losses of more than £130m, and reports claim that one of Romelu Lukaku or Lautaro Martinez could be sold to balance their books.
