Arsenal forward signs new long-term contract

Balogun signs new Arsenal deal

Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun has signed a new four-year contract with the Gunners, thereby ending the speculation regarding his future.

The 19-year-old was offered a pre-contract by multiple European clubs this year, but he was convinced to stay by manager Mikel Arteta.

The young striker has yet to make his Premier League debut for the Gunners, but he is confident of making the step up.

Shortly after signing the new deal, Balogun talked about the progress of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe over the past year.

He added that they are an inspiration to him as he looks to make himself a regular with the first-team in the long run.

Balogun has only featured in the Cup competitions for the Gunners, but he has impressed with two goals and one assist from five games.

He has an impressive scoring record at the youth level, and will be hoping to break into the league plans by the start of next season.
