Arsenal receive big injury boost ahead of Villarreal clash
Arsenal have been handed a timely injury boost with David Luiz returning to regular training ahead of the Villarreal clash.
The Gunners are scheduled to face Villarreal on the road in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday.
Ahead of the game, Luiz has returned to normal training. He had been out for the past few weeks after a minor knee injury.
It is unclear whether he will be available for selection. Rob Holding may continue to feature as the right-footed centre-back.
The Gunners are currently 10th in the Premier League standings, seven points adrift of a potential European spot.
With five games to play, they are unlikely to recover the deficit and may need to win the Europa League to play European football next term.
If the club win the competition next month, they will be rewarded with an automatic entry into the Champions League group stage.
The Gunners have not played in the Champions League for four seasons.
