Arsenal favourites to sign £30m Premier League midfielder

Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer.

The Seagulls have had a disappointing league campaign, but Bissouma has shone with stand-out performances in the centre of the park.

His progress has seen him linked with West Ham United, Liverpool and Leicester City, but The Star claims that the Gunners are favourites to sign him.

The club have already made contact with his representatives, and they are confident of landing his signature when the transfer window reopens.

The Seagulls are likely to consider the midfielder's sale at the end of the season, but they could demand as much as £30 million.

Bissouma, who was formerly with Lille, is reportedly a boyhood Gunners fan, which offers him the added incentive to join them.

The Gunners are preparing for a summer rebuild. The likes of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi could be offloaded.

They are also prepared to listen to offers for academy graduates in Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock.
