Chelsea to compete with Manchester United for Bundesliga winger
Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race to sign in-demand Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, but the Premier League giants failed to meet his asking price.
Dortmund wanted around €120m for the winger, but United were reluctant to pay more than €80m for the England international.
According to BILD, Dortmund could sell Sancho for a reduced fee this summer amid their losses due to the coronavirus pandemic.
United are understood to retain their interest, but could face fierce competition from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is eyeing at least two marquee forward signings due to the club's struggles to convert their chances.
Aside from a winger, Tuchel has his sights on landing a new marksman with Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland among the top targets.
Both players could cost in upwards of £100m this summer. The duo are also on the radar of Manchester City.
