Chelsea to swoop for Paris Saint-Germain star?
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly urged the club's hierarchy to make an approach for Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos.
The west London giants appointed Tuchel as their manager in January, and they have made a tremendous turnaround with him.
The club are already through to the FA Cup and Champions League finals, while they are in a good position to finish in the top four.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich will back Tuchel with transfer funds this summer, and Marquinhos has emerged as the top target.
Tuchel has already been reunited with Thiago Silva at Chelsea, and the German is keen on a reunion with another of his former PSG stars.
The centre-back/defensive midfielder has made over 300 appearances for Les Parisiens since he arrived in 2013, and he remains an undispensable figure.
However, Les Parisiens may be tempted by a significant bid of £80 million, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues are willing to meet the price tag.
