Thomas Tuchel provides injury update on three players
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided an injury update on three players ahead of the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Blues are currently third in the league standings, and a victory would guarantee their Champions League spot for next season.
Otherwise, they would be dependent on either Leicester City or Liverpool dropping points in the final matchday of the campaign.
Ahead of the game, Tuchel confirmed that Andreas Christensen has returned to training after overcoming a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, Kai Havertz is also expected to return to training tomorrow, but N'Golo Kante remains doubtful to face the Villans.
The Frenchman felt his hamstring in the 2-1 win over Leicester City in midweek. He was substituted in the 31st minute itself.
Tuchel said that the midfielder could join training by Monday in preparation for the Champions League final against Manchester City.
If the Blues fail to make the top four, they will need to win the Champions League in order to qualify for the competition next season.
