Chelsea back in the race to sign Declan Rice?
Chelsea have rejoined the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice during the summer transfer window.
The England international was heavily linked with the west London giants last summer, but a deal failed to materialise.
Rice was a top target for manager Frank Lampard, but the hierarchy refused to sanction the deal after spending £225m on new signings.
Lampard was replaced by Thomas Tuchel as head coach in January, but The Telegraph reports that the club could return for Rice this summer.
Tuchel has been impressed with the midfielder's progress, and he will urge the board to push through a move for the 22-year-old.
Rice is on the radar of Manchester United and Manchester City, but he is likely to favour a move to the Blues, having previously been in the academy.
The Hammers value him at around £90m, but the Blues will look to drive down the price by offering Tammy Abraham as a makeweight.
