United trio won't face Villarreal

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the unavailability of three players for the Europa League final.

The Red Devils are scheduled to face Villarreal in the competition's final in Gdansk, and ahead of the game, Solskjaer has provided an injury update.

Harry Maguire has been sidelined for the past few weeks with an ankle injury, and Solskjaer has ruled out the chances of him playing.

Meanwhile, Anthony Martial and Phil Jones are not fully fit after knee injuries, and they are also expected to miss the game.

United are favourites against Villarreal, but they need to be wary of the threat from Gerard Moreno, who has netted 29 goals this season.

Villarreal boss Unai Emery has also won three of the previous four Europa League finals, and United can't anticipate a straightforward game.

United have reached their first final under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having previously been ousted at the semi-final stage on four occasions.

They will be aiming to end a four-year trophy drought tomorrow.
