Liverpool midfielder agrees to join Barcelona
Barcelona have reportedly won the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer.
The Dutchman will be leaving the Reds when his contract expires next month, and he has been tipped to join the Catalan giants.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder has agreed a three-year deal with the club, which will be announced in due course.
Bayern Munich recently made contact for the 30-year-old, but the Blaugrana were already in advanced negotiations with the player.
Aside from Wijnaldum, Manchester City duo Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero are also expected to join the club on Bosman deals.
Meanwhile, Lyon star Memphis Depay has also been fancied to join, but the deal depends on whether Ronald Koeman stays.
Koeman recently held a meeting with president Joan Laporta, and reports claim that he could stay for another campaign.
Barcelona are planning to announce at least three or four signings before the beginning of the European Championships next month.
