Emerson on Napoli radar

Napoli have tabled an opening offer for Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri, a report from Calciomercato claims.

The Italian is currently the third-choice left-back behind Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso, and could leave the Blues this summer.

He has been linked with the likes of Inter and Juventus, but Calciomercato claims that Napoli have made the first approach.

The Naples outfit have tabled a bid of around £12.5m, but it remains short of the Blues' £17m valuation for the defender.

The club are likely to assess their options before sanctioning his exit. He is about to enter the final year of his contract.

Aside from Emerson, the Blues are considering offers for Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Hakim Ziyech among others.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has also been linked with a possible departure after struggling for regular playing time last term.

Bayern Munich are planning to revive their interest after missing out on his signature during the 2019 January transfer window.
