Liverpool midfielder makes the switch to Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Netherlands international will join them on a free transfer when his Liverpool contract expires at the end of the month.
Wijnaldum was initially fancied to join Barcelona, but Les Parisiens hijacked the deal at the final hurdle through Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino tried to sign Wijnaldum for Spurs in the summer of 2016, before he made the move to Liverpool from Newcastle United.
The Argentine has now reunited with the Dutchman, who has reportedly received a significant hike on his £90,000-a-week wages.
Les Parisiens are also close to landing the signature of Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose contract with AC Milan expires on June 30.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has made 251 appearances for Milan, but he is now prepared to pursue another club, where he can win trophies.
He has reportedly turned down interest from several Premier League clubs with the view to joining the Parisian giants.
