Arsenal back in for Aouar?

Arsenal could reportedly revive their interest in signing Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

The Gunners were interested in landing the Frenchman last summer, but they failed to meet the £55m valuation.

According to Metro, the north London club could renew their pursuit of Aouar as they aim to sign a creative midfielder.

Lyon have failed to qualify for next season's Champions League, and it is claimed that Aouar could be sold for just £25m.

Aouar struggled for consistency last season, but still registered four goals and eight assists from 33 appearances.

He has also been linked with Juventus and Real Madrid, but the Gunners could have the advantage in the pursuit.

Mikel Arteta's side failed with three separate bids for Aouar last year, and they could revisit their interest in the near future.

Aside from Aouar, Real Betis' Nabil Fekir has regularly been linked with a move. He could be available for £26m.

The Gunners were recently optimistic of re-signing Martin Odegaard, but he looks set to stay with Real Madrid next term.
