Arsenal set their sights on signing Portuguese striker

Silva wanted by Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly interested in landing the signature of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva.

The Gunners are planning a squad rebuild this summer, and they could offload Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.

Both strikers have one year left on their respective contracts, and the club's hierarchy appear open to parting ways.

According to Duncan Castles, the Gunners have made contact with Frankfurt over a possible summer deal for Silva.

Frankfurt are looking for around €40m, but they could be tempted to accept a lesser sum for the Portuguese striker.

Barcelona have also been linked with him, but he is no longer a priority after the recent capture of Sergio Aguero.

Silva had an exceptional 2020/21 campaign for Frankfurt, registering 29 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.

Despite his efforts, they missed out on the Champions League places after Borussia Dortmund's strong finish to the season.

They are open to selling Silva in order to recoup funds for new signings.
