Arsenal on the cusp of signing Ben White
Arsenal are close to reaching an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign defender Ben White, David Ornstein claims.
The Gunners have identified the Englishman as their top summer target, and they are on the verge of landing his signature.
The club have agreed to meet the £50m valuation for the centre-back. They are willing to pay £45m with £5m in add-ons.
Negotiations are still ongoing over the structure of the payment and add-ons, but a deal is expected to be completed soon.
The Gunners are planning a mega spending spree this summer, and reports claim that they could spend as much as £250m.
They are on the cusp of landing White, and this could be followed by the arrival of Albert Lokonga from Anderlecht.
Atalanta have made an approach for the Belgian, but the midfielder is determined to join the Gunners this summer.
An opening bid of around £13m was rejected, but the Gunners are confident of landing his services in the coming days.
