Arsenal set to beat Napoli to another signing
Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Benfica to sign left-back Nuno Tavares.
The Gunners are keen on signing a back-up option for Kieran Tierney this summer with Sead Kolasinac expected to leave the club.
Earlier today, it was claimed that the Gunners had made contact with Tavares' agents and the left-back would be willing to join them.
According to Jornal de Noticias, they have now reached an agreement with Benfica to sign the Portugal youth international.
The 21-year-old has three years remaining on his contract, but he reportedly dreams of playing in the Premier League.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners are set to sign him for around €10 million ahead of Southampton and Napoli.
The Gunners have developed a trend of beating Napoli to players. It appears that there could be another instance this summer.
The Serie A outfit have previously missed out on the services of Tierney, Bernd Leno, Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel to Arsenal.
