Arsenal defender wanted by Fenerbahce?

Arsenal defender Cedric Soares has emerged as a potential target for Fenerbahce, Turkish outlet Fotomac claims.

The Portuguese has been with the Gunners for the past 18 months, but he has largely been a squad player under Mikel Arteta.

According to Fotomac, Soares could be heading for the exit door this summer with the Gunners open to keeping Hector Bellerin.

The Istanbul giants are preparing a loan deal for the right-back with an option to buy for around £3 million next summer.

Calum Chambers has emerged as the Gunners' first-choice right-back with Bellerin acting as his deputy on the bench.

Bellerin was touted to leave the Gunners earlier this summer, but the hierarchy have now made the decision to keep him.

They are set to propose a new contract with an improved salary. Soares may struggle to make the matchday squad if he stays.

In the past, he has provided cover for Kieran Tierney at left-back, but the Gunners have the position covered with Nuno Tavares' arrival.
