Arteta wants a new right-back at Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is eyeing at least one signing before the transfer window closes at 11pm tomorrow.

The Gunners have made five signings this summer with the most recent being Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United.

Ahead of deadline day, Arteta is keen on landing a new right-back, but that may depend on a possible departure.

Hector Bellerin appears most likely to head for the exit door with reported interest from his former club Barcelona.

The Blaugrana recently agreed to sell Emerson Royal to Tottenham Hotspur, and they are eyeing a quick replacement.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier during the backend of the transfer window.

The 30-year-old won't come cheaply for them with Atletico reluctant to accept anything less than the £34m release clause.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the England international, but a deal appears unlikely.

They have decided to keep Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese has earned his first-team place after impressing in pre-season.
