Sevilla reveal stance on Jules Kounde amid Chelsea interest

Jules Kounde news

Chelsea must trigger release clause to sign Kounde in January

Sevilla have no plans of negotiating the price for Jules Kounde amid the reported interest from Chelsea.

The Blues made an offer of €50 million last month, but Sevilla wanted €65m to part company with the defender.

On deadline day, the La Liga outfit made it clear that they won't sell him for anything less than his €80m release clause.

The Blues are likely to return for Kounde at the turn of the year, but there may not any room for negotiations.

According to Marca, the Andalusian club are reluctant to consider Kounde's exit midway through the ongoing campaign.

Kounde has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, but they will need to activate the buy-out clause in January.

Chelsea are currently discussing new contracts with Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta. Both are likely to extend.

Antonio Rudiger has, however, refused to negotiate a new deal. He could leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
