Liverpool making plans for a new striker?
Liverpool are reportedly making plans for a new striker for the 2022/23 campaign.
Roberto Firmino has been a regular choice up front for the Reds with Diogo Jota being the back-up option.
However, the Brazilian has struggled for form in recent seasons, and there are doubts over his long-term future.
The Merseyside outfit are currently in the process of renewing player contracts, but they have yet to come to Firmino.
Their prime focus at the moment is on extending the deals of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah beyond June 2023.
It appears that Firmino could be the odd-man out, and the arrival of a new striker could pave the way for his departure.
The Reds recently made contact with the agent of Erling Braut Haaland, and could make a big-money move for the Norwegian.
The Borussia Dortmund striker will be available for £65 million next summer due to a release clause that will become active.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid could compete with the Reds for the services of the highly-rated marksman.
