Chelsea, Spurs to miss out on Franck Kessie?
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on a free transfer next summer.
The Ivorian has less than 10 months left on his Rossoneri deal, and he has rejected the option of renewing his contract.
He is still expected to stay with Milan for the season, but could sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in the New Year.
Chelsea and Spurs are keen to negotiate a contract with him, but Calciomercato claims that they could be handed a potential blow.
Juventus are long-time admirers of Kessie, but they can't negotiate personal terms with the midfielder until the end of the season.
However, Kessie prefers to stay in Serie A where he has been successful with Milan and Atalanta. Juventus are deemed favourites to sign him.
Kessie currently earns around €2.2m annually. The Blues and Spurs are willing to quadruple his wages if he agrees to join them.
