Origi to Lens?

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has emerged as a potential target for French club Lens, according to Fichajes.

The Belgium international was tipped to leave the Reds during the summer, but there were no realistic offers on the table.

However, he could be on the move in the New Year as his existing deal with the club expires at the end of the campaign.

Contract talks are unlikely at the current point of time. The Reds are willing to offload him rather than lose him for nothing.

Lens were terrific after Ligue 1 promotion last term. They finished seventh. The club have made another positive start this season.

They have already registered 12 points from six outings, and are keen to bolster their attack midway through the campaign.

The Reds wanted around €20m for Origi this summer, but they may need to accept a significantly lower price in January.

The club have the centre-forward position covered with Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino and can afford to lose Origi.
