Chelsea and Liverpool quoted price for French midfielder

Aurelien Tchouameni news

Tchouameni set for Premier League move?

Chelsea and Liverpool need to pay at least €40m to sign AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in January.

The Frenchman has made immense progress at the Principality outfit, and he has been touted to leave in the near future.

The Blues were fancied to sign Tchouameni as an alternative to Declan Rice this summer, but they opted to sign Saul Niguez on loan.

Niguez has yet to make an impact, and it has been claimed that the Blues could make a move for Tchouameni at the turn of the year.

Meanwhile, the Reds are eyeing a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who joined Paris Saint-Germain for free this summer.

Juventus are also interested in the defensive midfielder, and Calciomercato claims that Monaco want around €40m to sanction his sale.

The Bianconeri are keen to beat the Premier League giants to the player, but it is unclear whether they can afford a straight-cash deal.

This could pave the way for either Chelsea or Liverpool to secure his services when the transfer window reopens in January.
