Rio Ferdinand tips Manchester City star to leave soon
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has tipped Raheem Sterling to leave Manchester City soon amid his limited game time.
Sterling's playing time has reduced this year. He has started just two of the club's seven league games this term following Jack Grealish's arrival.
Barcelona have been linked with a surprise January move for him while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in his services.
Speaking on his Youtube channel, Ferdinand said that Sterling could be on the move soon if he continues to struggle for regular minutes.
He added that the England international is a winner, and does not see him joining either Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal in the near future.
He said: "I will say it now. If he continues like this, Raheem will not be there next season. He can't sit on the bench, he is not that type of guy."
"He is a winner, he wants to win. Tottenham can't get in the mix, Arsenal can't get in the mix with a Sterling right now."
Sterling has less than two years left on his existing deal. He reportedly has no plans of signing a renewal amid his current situation.
As things stand, the Cityzens are widely expected to sell him next summer. He could cost at least £50 million for any interested clubs.
