Liverpool wanted to sign Brazilian attacker this summer

The agent of Raphinha has confirmed that Liverpool were interested in signing the Brazil international during the recent transfer window.
Raphinha joined Leeds United from Rennes last summer, and he has a good debut season with six goals and nine assists from 31 games.
The 24-year-old has continued to shine this term with three goals from seven outings, and recently made his debut for the national team.
In an interview with Globo Esporte, his agent has now confirmed that there was plenty of interest from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, a deal was never on the cards. Leeds are expected to keep him for the current campaign before listening to offers for his services.
The Reds currently have Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah as undisputed starters on the wings, but their futures are uncertain.
Both players have their contracts expiring in June 2023. There has not been any progress in renewing their respective deals so far.
Raphinha could be brought in as a possible replacement for one of them.
