Predicted Manchester United line-up vs Chelsea today

Manchester United will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they face Chelsea on the road this evening.

The Red Devils are presently six points adrift of the top four after five defeats in the previous seven top-flight matches.

They need a victory to kickstart their league campaign, and have a good recent league record against today's opponents.

Chelsea have failed to beat them in the previous seven league encounters with four of those ending in stalemates.

Predicted Line-up:

David de Gea has been in superb form in goal this term, and has singlehandedly got the team out of trouble in multiple games. He is expected to continue between the sticks.

There will be one change in defence with Harry Maguire suspended. Eric Bailly should partner Victor Lindelof at the heart of the backline.

Luke Shaw is a doubt due to concussion. Alex Telles looks set to continue at left-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to start on the opposite end.

Fred picked up an ankle injury against Villarreal in midweek. His absence may see Nemanja Matic partner Scott McTominay in the centre of the park.

Donny van de Beek was handed a surprise start ahead of Bruno Fernandes in the number 10 role on Tuesday, but he failed to capitalise.

Fernandes is expected to retain his position, having grabbed an assist for Jadon Sancho coming off the bench against the Yellow Submarines.

Anthony Martial also failed to make his mark in midweek. There could be a straight swap with Marcus Rashford on the left side of the attack.

Sancho is a definite starter on the opposite end, having found form recently. He netted his maiden Red Devils goal in the 2-0 win over Villarreal.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the attack. The Portuguese star recently scored for the fifth straight European game.

Predicted Manchester United line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Telles; McTominay, Matic; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo.
