Mari to leave Arsenal?

Arsenal could sanction the sale of Pablo Mari when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The Spaniard was a regular starter at the beginning of the season, but he has since fallen down the pecking order.

He has not made a Premier League appearance since August. During this time, he has managed just one League Cup outing.

The centre-back has grown frustrated with his situation, and reports claim that he is keen to head for the exit door in January.

According to football.london, Flamengo are looking at re-signing Mari, who was instrumental to their Serie A success in 2019.

The 28-year-old was touted to become a key figure in the Gunners defence this term, but he looked out of sorts in August.

Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes are now undisputed starters at the heart of the defence for the Premier League matches.

Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are also present to provide back-up, but the latter could leave when his contract expires in June.
