Arsenal forward rejects new contract amid playing time issues
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has rejected a new contract with the club amid his scarce playing time.
The 22-year-old has not played a single minute in the Premier League this term with his only appearances coming in the Carabao Cup.
Mikel Arteta has publicly spoken about his desire to keep Nketiah, but the striker could leave on a free transfer next summer.
The club graduate is currently contracted until June 2022. He has no plans of renewing his deal amid the lack of regular game time.
Borussia Monchengladbach, Nice and Fiorentina are among the clubs credited with an interest in signing him on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were hot on his trail last summer, and they could look to sign him on a cut-price agreement next month.
Nketiah is currently on wages of around £45,000-a-week. His next move will reportedly be career-related rather than based on finances.
The former England youth international has been on the bench for just two league games this term. His situation is unlikely to improve.
