Pep Guardiola desperate to sign Arsenal striker target
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is desperate to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic next summer.
The Cityzens are currently top of the Premier League standings, and they look good value to defend their title.
Despite this, Guardiola is not satisfied with his squad strength, and would like to sign a specialist centre-forward.
Harry Kane was the top target last summer, but the Cityzens were put off by Tottenham's hefty £160m price tag.
According to La Repubblica, Vlahovic has now emerged as the top candidate to bolster the Cityzens' strikeforce.
Fiorentina valued him at £75m earlier this year, but he could be sold for just £50m at the end of the campaign.
Vlahovic has been in fine form for La Viola over the past 18 months. He has bagged 14 goals from 16 games this term.
He recently snubbed a new contract at the club. They are expected to sell him soon with his deal expiring in June 2023.
Vlahovic has recently been the subject of interest from Arsenal, but he is unlikely to make a decision until next summer.
