Arsenal handed injury boost ahead of Southampton clash
Arsenal have been handed an injury boost with Gabriel Martinelli deemed fit to face Southampton in the Premier League.
The Brazilian picked up a minor hamstring injury in the Everton defeat on Monday. Mikel Arteta was concerned after the game.
However, it appears that he has overcome his concern, and has been declared fit to face the Saints at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
Martinelli has started the last two games for the Gunners. He could continue from the starting XI with Emile Smith Rowe doubtful.
The Gunners graduate is nursing a minor muscular issue, and he will be assessed ahead of tomorrow's afternoon kick-off
The north London giants have recently lost momentum with three losses in four games. They are currently seventh on the table.
The club can temporarily go to fifth with a victory over the Saints, but it won't be straightforward judging by recent form.
The Saints have never beaten the Gunners in an away league game, but they have drawn in their last two visits to the Emirates.
